For President:
Josephine Watts
My name is Joi Watts. I am running for the office of President on the Lenart Lion Pride. I joined the Lenart community in Fall of 2019 when my daughter, Maya, entered kindergarten. For the last two years, I served as Vice Chair on the Local School Council, which was an excellent introduction to Lenart and a great way to get involved. I had a behind the scenes point of view of how school funds and resources were allocated, monitored the School Improvement Plan (CIWP), and even evaluated our school’s principal. Gaining insightful experience on the LSC, I discovered I wanted to directly impact the families and students at Lenart on a closer level.
My background is in Corporate Human Resources which allows me to work with people in all phases of their career. I have a skill for planning, organizing, and bringing folks together, all working towards one goal. I have big ideas for the LLP and look forward to working collectively with the LSC, in hopes of successful events next year.
For Secretary:
Claudia Hindo
Claudia Hindo is a parent/caregiver to 4th grader Rowen Hexom. This is her family’s first year at Lenart and she is excited to be on the Lenart Lions Pride election ballot for Secretary. Claudia currently serves as the Lenart Room Representative Program Coordinator and 4th grade Room Rep. She held the PTO Secretary position for 2 years at CPS’ Poe Classical Elementary and volunteers with the Friends of Lasalle at her younger son, Reese’s, CPS school. Claudia has spent 20+ years working with school districts and individual schools across the U.S. (primarily in Chicago and New York City) in the areas of research, data analysis/visualization, and evaluation. The Hindo & Hexom family reside in the West Loop.
For Treasurer:
Samantha Gray
I am the parent of a second grader and sixth grader.
I have been a Lenart Lions Pride member since 2017 and the treasurer since 2019. In my role, I have been judicious with the LLP finances.
I have also been involved with planning both in person and virtual programs. I am excited to serve another year as we welcome new and innovative leaders.
